Default Anyone have the JL stealth box installed in their trunk?

I'm thinking about getting one, because it's the only thing that will fit in the trunk without sacrificing that much space. For those of you that already have one, how is the sound quality? Is the bass sufficient enough? I don't need bass that can be heard a block away but i want bass that is loud and clear enough in a car. Please give me your opinions. Thanks!!

Drunken_Monk has one that I helped him install. He has a ten inch sub in there with a very powerful amp. IMO, the bass is insufficient, it can be heard fine but you really do not get the "whomp" when you want it. Loudness of the bass really depends on the song you are listening too. However, due to the ease of installation and how clean it looks, I give it a

I've got the stealthbox in my trunk (for almost 2 years now), and think it's great. I recently swapped out the driver that came in it (a 10W3 I think) for a 10W6. It hits hard and sounds great when you're in the car, but it's not something you're gonna hear 2 blocks away.

You could have a local shop build you something better for less money. I was going to buy one but my installer built me a similar box and used a 10W6v2 and it was still a lot cheaper than the prefab box.

I bought a box from a guy on S2Ki, it is a 12 inch W0 with JL Amp and components and the thing absolutely jams!!! Plenty of bass for me and the sub is a must have!!! It changes the sound of the entire system. I think I paid 325 for the box w/sub.. Very worth it.

I have a 10" punch HX2 in a custom box pushed with 300 watts rms and had to turn the gain down so the trunk wouldn't rattle. Replacing the 6.5" door speakers with a good set of drivers helps out too. Plenty of bass to go around.

You can have a custom box built for about $ 100...add the sub and amp that you want....and it is still 1/2 price of the stealth box you are talking about... this is one I did on my ol' 01 Yellow S...two eights added plenty of bass...and this other one is of 2 ten inchers that I installed on my 00' silver one...I like the 10's better...a little lower bass and plenty if I turn it up ...no rattles as I took everything appart and put some insolater in.
