i've seen a couple of cars with either the carbon or the aluminum dash on it, but they're all glued on, and after prolonged exposure to the sun and heat the damned things has a tendency to fall off and leave a bad residue

If you follow the directions and properly prep the surfaces before applying, I don't think you should have any problem with pieces falling off. I haven't.

Hi Revhard

Those are dx 3065's (?). I've since replaced them with the Polk Momos. They sound much better now. The install guy at Circuit City had no problem getting them in.

I have the aluminum dash kit and I hate it. It's installed fine, but it just makes the car look a lot cheaper. The aluminum scratches very easily and also collects dirt around the edges that is a complete pain to clean. I'm currently in the mindset of getting around to deinstalling it.

I'd post a picture of it, but I don't have a digital camera. Sorry

Swurvydel,

You're right, it would look the best on black black. Another combo that I truely love, but no longer avail in the states.. is Silver ext, red seats, black dash, and alum trim. I've seen pics of that setup on a BMW and it looked REALLY good.
