After many bad experiences with valets, I try not to use them. If I know I have to valet park, I take the other car instead. I'd never let the valets park the S2K. In fact, I usually ask them if I can park my own car, but still pay them. Most valets let you do that.

yep! They can't seem to find the reverse gear. I once watch this guy trying to reverse in 6th for 5 mins. NOT MY S though.

i never valet the car. when i was in college a valet at pierview in malibu backed one of my girl friend's brand new vw cabriolet into a big pos ford pickup. all the while we're screaming at this idiot to stop.

i offer to tip the valet well and then park it myself.

i like the idea of the kill switch. i will be using that.

I don't think there are many restaraunt in Salt lake city that have Valet parking & the ones that do you can also park yourself.. So no I don't have a problem with valets like you big city folks

I used to valet park cars as a kid. Needless to say, I will not be handing the keys to my S2000 to a valet any time soon.

Personally I have had friends that have been valets and let me tell you...never ever give your stook to a valet...most of them get in a fast or sporty car and either go for a quick drive when you ain't looking or just thrash it. (Hell one of my friends could barely drive stick when he was a valet...Man I will never forget when I saw him kill a ferrari three times while trying to park it ...man just pitiful)

I could never let a valet touch my car, especially after watching "Ferris Buellers Day Off" . Those guys in that movie popped that sweet Ferrari's cherry . Anyone know what model that was?

Yeah, that's the mental image I have of valets as well. My car flying into the air after a hill, while the theme to Star Wars is playing.
