Default anyone with "hyperwhite" maplights????

if so....what kind do you guys have?
i used piaa's for my previous car...but the bulbs are slightly thicker than the stock, the length of the bulbs are equal.
previously, i had to bend the metal holder to make the smaller bulb fit. would i be able to do the same with the S2k?

I don't think PIAA makes the right size hyperwhite dome lights for our cars. The bulb we have is the cylindrical with two conical ends like this...

The problem is that there are at least three different lengths of bulb that look like this. The easiest thing to do is to pull one of the bulbs out and take it into an import shop or wherever you can compare the size to the ones they sell, and buy a hyper-white version. Again, I don't think PIAA makes the correct size for us. I have some generic knockoff brand for the dome lights, but they look just as good.

Polarg makes the right bulbs and I have them installed in my car. You can buy them here. They're the M16 hyperwhites.

besides the lights matching the HID look vs stock yellow, potential to melt your maplight housing (personal experience)
......NO!

just looks much nicer.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! how come i can't PM Rick???

hey Rick, thanx for the response.
I have a pair of PIAA's that look exactly like that. My only problem is, is that the bulbs are much thicker??? in terms of radius vs the stock bulbs. I have piaas all around so far so I would like to keep the bulbs consistant. do you know if those polargs are the same size as stock? if not what kind of modifications do you need to make them fit.

Please help,

Good point. The hyper-whites burn much hotter. You may want to watch how long they stay on.
