Truth be told, if I tracked or auto-crossed my car like so many on here, I would probably do some of the mods, both for safety and performance. My problem is I never liked kit cars, made to look like race cars, powered by VW bug engines. Gotta be true to what the car is or isn't, and not what some pretend it to be.

Beautiful - I have an 07 NFR bought in Sept last year also with 31,000 on it. It's around 34,000 now and love love love everything about it. Mine was also well taken care of and whole life has lived here in NC.

Also, I recently upgraded to the Alpine UTE-73BT with the modifry PNP. Sounds so much better. I may eventually get the amp to go with it but for now I'm good.

Mine is basically stock, except for an OEM Ti knob because the original was worn from years of contact with wedding rings (RHD car), and floor mats. I have some OEM BBS alloys waiting for refurb, and over time I might pick up the odd factory optional part where and when I can, but it'll remain largely stock.

Having said that I've toyed with the idea of picking up a rough, high mileage example and going nuts with it, I'm not precious about keeping S2000s stock, just the one I currently have because it's in great condition.

i def get where you’re coming from as when I bought mine it has low miles and bought it as a project/summer fun car and let me say...I’ve never kept a car I’ve owned factory stock and this S2k is tempting me... I may just do an intake and exhaust just to hear it sing a bit but nothing over the top, no fart cans for me it’s too pretty but I did get a factory ap2 wing which doesn’t get too much love but I love how it looks, and I really like the look of the OEM side strakes as well but finding them is proving difficult, although I’m waiting to find out availability on these motulo ones from go tuning they’re just as good as OEM as modulo is a Honda JDM company so if those come thru I’ll be really pleased although they’re more expensive than the originals, i really like the factory performance look as well

Bone-stock GPW MY03 here. I'm getting old; so I like it quiet, incog, reliable, non-scrape'y(non-lowered) and oem clean. Only thing changed was MY00-01 FSB, MY06+ RSB and Billman's TCT. I like the 16" oem ap1 wheels too - looks more period-correct and older school. They kinda remind me of the old Mugen RNR wheels.

All my ricers in the '90s were modded though - 86' Accord LXi hatch, LS/VTEC EG, CRX, S13 w/ SR20 redtop... they were fun (because I was younger); but getting pulled over frequently, fix-it tickets and always needing illegal smogs was not.

It's cool seeing the 16" OEM AP1 wheels getting some love. If I owned an AP1 car then the only wheels I'd consider swapping the originals out for are the 16" JDM BBS wheels. They are both such key pieces of the S2000's history. I suppose that could mean that they fall into the "period-correct" or "older school" look as you put it. Even if that weren't the case, I just love the design of the 5-spoke OEM wheels.
