Who hasnt had their seats stolen?

We self police the Seattle region craigslist and flag all s2000 seat sales that are obviously not legit.

I have seen a video (but couldn't find it with several search engines) where someone in Eastern Europe (a hotbed of stolen cars) rigged their car with a gas bomb under the driver's seat. If you stole the car, the car incinerated itself with the thief in it.

It was a great video because it showed the flames shooting out from under the seat and the scumbag in a panic watching his a$$ on fire.

Terrible waste of a car, but just (and satisfying) retribution.

Anyone know of this video? You could post it in this link.

I would rock these seats in other cars for sure. Its a shame people steal but from what I've herd or seen, insurance companies give a pretty penny for these seats amd purple end up with a better situation than before.

Yep, their car gets totalled because of the replacement cost of seats and a top. Niiiiice!

I would not be surprised if 50% of all used S2000 seats for sale are hot.
I'd say closer to 90%. All the people I know running aftermarket seats, including myself, have kept their stock seats. If you want to run them in a Civic, Integra, Prelude then that is your choice. Maybe the guy you bought them from didn't steal them himself and they have changed hands a few time, but don't kid yourself. They came from somewhere and 90% of the time it is not legit. Unless I could see the S2000 they came out of, salvage or otherwise, I would walk.
