Moving the battery would mess up weight distribution. It's located behind the shock towers for just that reason - to maintain 50/50. Putting it in the trunk is more than lightly gonna f up your weight bias.
That's why I said I would do it if I plan on removing the spare tire and the tools.

Putting the battery in the trunk would do nothing more than disturb the weight balace, and add weight from new cables you are going to run.

Its a combination of both. The way the manifold is designed, there are not many choices as to where the wastegate goes.

If you seriously think moving the battery to the trunk will ruin the weight distribution to the point where the cars handling characteristics will change, think about this. How come all the cars out there with 20, 30, even 40lbs of weight loss from changing out the exhaust aren't affected?
