I really hate the stock the antenna! Anyone get rid of the stock antenna and have the hole filled so it is clean and smooth and looks stock, and then somehow get an antenna wire mounted on the windshield? Do they make an aftermarket windshield with an antenna wire built-in? Thoughts.

If you remove the antenna, how would this look "stock"? This car utilizes and amplified antenna system. Sure, you "could" have a windshield custom made with an antenna element inside it but it will most likely not be "amplifiable". Your radio will probably not work or work very poorly.

Okay well...poorly worded. How about so that the right side would look like a mirror image of the left side? Does that make sense?

They sell a nice inside windshield mounted antenna from like advanced auto parts. I intalled one on an old integra I had. It's 12V powered so it works really good. I had no complaints. The only problem that I can think of is that the s is convertible and you don't have a headliner to hide wiring under. You might think of something else...

Not really sure about amplified vs. non-amplified. I know I had the stock window antenna on the hatch of my rsx-s and it got way better reception than my s2k does. My buddy has an antenna built-in to the windshield of his oldsmobile. I figure it should not only be possible but actually work better too.

Have you thought about just swapping the "rubber duck" ant. for an automatic power ant.? When the radio is off, all you would see is the base.

might not be as bad?
