anyone ship a hood?

Default anyone ship a hood?

I've sold the car and I am selling the OEM hood. I went to UPS store and they told me $400....It can't be that much. Any suggestions?

It looks like you're going to have to find your own shipper and probably pack it yourself since the hood is apparently too big to go UPS. Those UPS stores are a rip-off when it comes to sending things via truck freight. They quoted me $800 to send a $200 rug that weighed about thirty pounds to my mother in CT - sending it by taxi would have been cheaper. Needless to say, I'm not welcome in that particular UPS store any more.

yeah.... I was seeing if someone that has actually shiped a hood could recommend a company i.e. fed ex vs. dhl

I try to ship my old car hood that sold 3 times but shipping is far way too much more than the hood. End up sold it local for half the price.

or find someone locally that has a used hood BOX ( i had one from my CF hood) and use that to package your hood and then ship it via UPS.

The only difference is if The UPS Store packages it than you are covered for any damage that may occur, and it probably will. If you package it, its up to the claim rep if you packaged correctly.

Hey tenblade! Long time no see...or read...or...well...you know. Hate that we don't have you here anymore...well, at least that you are S2000-less.



UPS Stores do riiiiiiiiiiiiiiip you a new one when it comes to shipping...they have crazy rates for stuff...OMG!
