Both driver and passenger side. Most tears i've seen come from the top under the supporting frame. This just looks terrible.

I'm gonna try to stitch it a bit see how it holds up..

Might have some better luck in S2k talk even though it is a picture, it's more of a problem to get help with than showing something off. Good luck with the fix!

I have the same problem but not as bad as yours. I always cringe when I spray water over that area but I haven't found water collecting in the car so I let it be.

That area gets pinched if the top isnt installed properly...Have you ever gotten a top swap?

Me, no. I just purchased the car and I guess progressively its been getting worse. I'm hoping stitching it for now will hold up, but it's in such a delicate spot.

Perhaps the previous owner did. Anyway to tell if the top is OEM or not?

open the top, halfway. It'll give you better access to the area. There SHOULD be two screws under, where it folds in...its a bitch to get to so chances are if the top was changed they didnt stick those screws on = pinch. Doesnt look OEM because of that second stitch near the curved portion that connects to the window..
