anyone thought of swapping the start and hazards button locations?? I think it would

I quess you could install some kind of clear flip-up protective lid.

No, but I did do away with my standard key and start button ignition start system. I now use ghost switches to get the car fired up, and the start button is now my garage door open and close button.

I would do it. I can't think of how I might accidentally hit the button, especially pushing the button in accidentally. Even if you dropped a CD or drink on it, I don't think it would be enough to engage it. How many of you have ever accidentally hit the hazards?

That is a cool idea. I agree with sbeall, I never accidently hit the hazard button.

I've hit my hazard button twice since owning my car. Maybe because I rest my whole arm on the tunnel. My VooDoo shift knob allows me to do so.

Great idea!

Just like in the movies in the missile silos. Get a big red "launch" button, with a clear plastic flip-up cover.

For the hardcore, you can get a glass cover you have to smash first.
