Default Anyone use this top before?

Background - Top was knifed while it sat in a parking lot (attempted break in?). Just got the insurance money to replace it.

I'm going to do the install myself and have been shopping for tops. Anyone used this one or know anyone who has? Any input will be appreciated.

Car Top Guy

If feedback is not good on that one I will probably go with:

Hardtopguy - conv top

But definitely not Honda as they want 1100+/- for the top.

Hardtopguy sells "OEM" (ie, Honda) soft tops.

It would seem to be an oxy-moron right?

He's got them listed substantially below what the dealer here in San Antonio wants.

Some of the aftermarket tops are available in canvas, which I've heard is nicer than the vinyl that the stock top is.

That's what's making me lean towards an aftermarket top like the Robbins or Cabrioworld.

I still don't see why anyone would want a canvas top. It seems to me that all it would buy you would be more upkeep. It's not like the OEM vinyl fabric is a crappy looking piece of shit. It fools people repeatedly and it is an excellent canvas immitation.

Canvas is harder to keep clean and lint free, espically if you like to park under trees. Ours is the best of both worlds, easy to keep and looks like cloth.

You don't seem to understand Hardtopguy's background. He's affiliated with a Honda dealership and has always sold Honda stuff far cheaper than most any other dealer. With the exception of some Comptech and Richmond gear parts, he is a Honda parts distributor. Anyone who's been here long enough and anyone who has met Jeff (HTguy) know this to be fact. It's always your choice to buy from whomever you wish, even if it's at a higher price.

ps. "Hardtopguy" started out as his screen name here and that's how he started his reputation here - buy selling OEM hardtops. That's just his tradename.
I know his history, it was a tongue in cheek statement. I've been on this board for a long time, but had one previous name.

I'm leaning towards going with him since he does sell OEM tops and it's pretty much guaranteed quality, I was just curious if others had any experience with the other top I listed.
