Default Is anyone's S2000 a "weekend car"

Hey-

Im looking to pick up a 92 Civic Si for a beater and to make the S2000 a "weekend car" per se. Im just going to get liability on the Civic as it is only going to cost me 750.00 (a neighbor is selling it to me). Anyways, what restrictions are on a "weekend car". Mileage? Usage? Auto-X? I just want something I can still drive when the weather is nice and on weekends. Also, Ill be taking a few 200-300 mile trips with it 3 or 4 times a year, is that alright? Any insight at all?

Thanks!

-Matt

I already did. Its going to save me 260.00 per year to insure the EG and the S as a weekend car. Not a bad deal. Anyways, I asked on this since I wanted S2000 owners to chime in, I already did the obvious, thanks for the insight.

I love my S too much to let it sit in the garage.

Then I am confused, what are you asking? Are you asking us if it's OK with us that you have your car as a weekend only car?

I don't think there are any restrictions OTHER than mileage. In the event of a claim they will certainly check if the mileage jives with your statement that it is a weekend car only.

I had to take the miles for 6 months for my insurer - but my buddy did not have to do that.

My S is insured as a recreational vehicle, so there's technically a mileage limit of 7k I think.
