Default Anything else than an S2000???

S2000 owners, do they have other toys, bikes? collection car? girlfriend? company?

Show the pics!

I'm thinking about getting a new S2000 for this summer for replacing my '97 Ford Taurus SHO. I heard that the S2000 is really slow up to 6000 rpm? I'll have to try one before making the move...

BTW sorry for my english, I'm a french Canadian from Montreal.

Real nice forum!

I wouldn't call it slow up to 6000 rpm... for any given gear, the effective torque (given the gearing and weight of the car) is fine...

It's not slow below 6000 at all, You'll be taken back in your seat when you punch it at any RPM! Am I right guys? I'd rather call it shy, than slow.

Let me put it this way... a Taurus SHO driver was trying to park in my trunk on the interstate last week until I finally had a clear road in front of me. I left him like he was going BACKWARDS. He politely moved over into the right lane and didn't bother anyone after that (of course he was about 3/4's of a mile behind me by then). The S2000 can accelerate like you wouldn't believe from just about any speed. The only "catch" is that you have to be "on the cam", in VTEC range in other words, above 6000 RPM. I don't think you will call it really slow below 6000 RPM.

Try a test drive on a used S2000 (one that's broken in) and see for yourself.
