Default AP1 - AP2

Ok...I'm doing a research project for a business communications class I'm taking this semester. The project consists of comparing two similar products (yes, its that vague)...I thought of comparing the AP1 and AP2.

This report has to go into a lot of detail and be at least 10 pages long. Basically I'm looking for every difference between the two, and how, what, why.

I know there are a lot of threads relating these two and trust me, I will be searching...A LOT. I'm just trying to get a jump start on my project now and not be a procrastinator like I normally am...this isn't due until NOV 29th! Yes, I have a lot of time but we are already getting started as this project is about 60% of our final grade.

So things I already know are different

Engine (stroked)
Tranny (gear ratios, syncros)
Diff (casing)
Suspension (not entirely sure)
Exterior (f/r bumpers, headlights, tail lights, exhaust tips)
Interior (gauge panel, radio door, cup holder, radio, door panels)

I will probably also go into differences on how they perform, or the lack thereof. Reasons for choosing one over another, and also probably add personal experiences.

So, anyway, any links you can provide, or info I'd appriciate it. Thanks,

Eric

You forgot to put wheels on the exterior. As you know, AP1 comes with 16s and AP2 comes in 17s. Good luck with your paper, i will try add some more information

Right forgot to mention that as well, thank you...and different tires as well.
Stock AP1 are 16x6.5" Front and 16x7.5" rear correct, or is it 7"?
AP2 are 17x7 and 17x8 right?

And yes, I do understand that the 2.2L is only an American thing...thank you again.

I'll probably be using this thread as something to come back and refer to, just to make sure I included everything I could.
Alos to let everybody know, even if you just know a difference that isn't listed here, but don't know specifics...just list it...I will be doing searching, it will just be another thing I'll search for.

Thanks for the luck

LED tails on the AP2.

Round exhaust outlets on the AP1

AP2 is XM ready

Lots more, too.

You better also factor in the fact that USA AP1s are a minimum of 1-2 older than the AP2s. In many cases you will be comparing a brand new product with one that is 3-5 years-old.

cool thanks guys, ya this is all stuff that I would probably otherwise be overlooking. Keep it coming, if you guys want I can put you individually as sources for my paper, or just use the entire thread as one source.

Thanks yet again...probably going to start getting a rough draft together this week or next. Like I said, starting early so I can get it out of the way!
