Default AP1 --> AP2 bumpers and lights

'04+ oem parts from a honda dealership vs. hardtopguy's retro fitted parts for my AP1

hey guys, after doing some searching i just had some questions about converting my ap1 front/rear bumper and head/tail lights to the ap2 style. its a insurance claim (long story) so they can only use oem parts, so do oem ap2 bumpers and lights fit on my ap1?

i know about the minor modifications like shaving down the front reinforcement bar, cutting out holes for the tail lights, and that the splash guard doesnt quite line up right, etc..but with that said, do i need to go through hardtopguy to get the retro parts or can the body shop who is fixing my car just buy '04+ oem parts from any honda dealership to fit??

basically the body shop would charge me a higher labor rate than what they quoted in my estimate if i buy the parts myself from hardtopguy to give them, instead of the body shop just buying the parts themselves from honda.

thanks for any help

Honestly I would have them give you the parts for an AP1 and sell them since they're new. You can find all the stuff you're looking for on eBay pretty easily.
