Ap1 and Ap2 Differential question
I understand that in order for an Ap1 to run a Ap2 diff you need a Ap2 propellor shaft to make it plug n play.
so my first question is: where can i get a ap2 propellor shaft and how much does it cost?
next question...
if someone HAS an Ap2, but wants to put on a Ap1 differential what needs to be changed from the Ap1 diff to FIT an Ap2 differential?
where can i get the parts for this as well, and how much will it cost?

Your second scenario used the same reasoning. I think you're tripping all over your own words.
What changed is the rear diff output flange. You can either get the matching propshaft to match the rear diff you're getting, but then, you have to get the matching output flange for the transmission or the propshaft won't connect up there, either. Or, you can get the proper output flange on the diff and do part of the calibration to the rear diff to make that work.

i am now more confused than ever..

can i just swap the output flanges from my ap1 diff to put on the ap2 diff so that the ap2 diff will work on my ap1? (read carefully)
so if this will work then i will also do the vice versa so that my ap1 diff will work on someone elses ap2?
if i'm wrong somewhere tell me exactly what i need to do to make this work. basically i'm swapping diffs from my ap1 from someone elses ap2 and that guy needs to use my diff on his ap2.

The torque used to hold the output flange onto the rear diff is part of the pinion calibration. Removing it requires that you re-calibrate the things. This involves "turning torque" and quite possibly a new crush sleave, depending upon just how the pieces mate up. So, as you can see, it can be done, but it's not a "JUST" swap out thing.
You could avoid this if you elected to buy also swap propshafts and output flanges on your trannies. The output flange on the tranny doesn't need any sort of fancy calibration.
The AP1 diff and tranny use a M8 bolt to mate with the prop shaft. The AP2 uses an M10 bolt. So this means it is not plug and play.
To install an AP2 diff on and AP1 drive line.
1. Replace the diff input flange (See Xvipers notes above)
OR
1. Replace the output flange on the transmission (100)
2. Replace the prop shaft (600)
I have an AP2 drive line on my AP1.
To install an AP2 diff on and AP1 drive line.
