Default AP1 and AP2 values

Today I went on KBB to check the value of my car and was surprised to find this.
AP1 and AP2 values-ohjvcg2.png
AP1s are slightly more than AP2s of the same mileage
I know KBB isnt that accurate and everything but its interesting to see the 02 worth is worth more than 07
Not trying to start a ap1 vs ap2 war haha

I was having this discussion with a friend last night, I think KBB changed the way they calculated values, it just doesn't make sense, certainly doesn't go along with market values.

I wonder if the sample data is getting too small on S2000 sales. They are getting harder and harder to come by.

Yep, not much chance of that.

I think everyone should use NADA, much more realistic values...

KBB is miscalculating this one. Put in the same mileage for a 2009 and it goes down even lower. On a 2001, it goes even higher. To KBB, the 2002 model drove less miles per year than the 2007, so it gets valued higher. Since its a Honda, mileage doesn't seem to sway the market too much so the newer models will most likely be more expensive to buy.

For the same number (or almost the same) of mileage on each car the older car would be considered "less driven and better taken care of...or babied."

To me personally though, I think the AP1 being the first generation S2000 would be more of a collector's value unless the AP2 is a CR.
