Default AP1 vs AP2 side strakes

Not debating whether they look good or not (I'm still debating internally lol), and I've seen a thread where it says the AP2 side strakes will fit on an AP1.

The question is, what's actually different between the AP1 vs AP2 side strakes ? Looking at a bunch of pics on Google, I can't really tell the difference.

I think they are the same, no differences.

To my knowledge the steel parts of the bodies are the same. The plastic parts are what got "face lifted" in 2004 and guys fit the later parts to earlier cars.

The side strakes are the same and were introduced in 2000, it was a carryover part for the AP2.
