AP2 Bumper Pic Request
Favor to ask you all.
For those of you with a factory painted AP2 front bumper, could you please take a clear close up pic of the fake grill vents to show where the paint line is?
The reason for this odd request is, I have a new factory bumper that is going in for paint next week, and I want to be 100% clear with the shop of areas not to paint. My old bumper, although painted well, had issues with this area.
I would preferably request owners with colors other than Berlina Black, so that the paint line is clearly visible.
Really would appreciate this.
Thank you,
Faheem

I wish I could, but the shop that did my bumper painted over the grills, despite my painstakingly pointing out ahead of time not to paint those areas (they fixed it, but don't want to send a photo of their do over to use as a pattern).
So you're right to obsess over this...

I just had my front bumper refinished. Their instructions were to remove the faux vents (and grill) before refinishing and replace them afterwards.
Photo was taken minutes ago.
The VIN tag on the bumper was masked so it was not painted over.

That's a real bummer that they still painted them even after you made it clear not to.
Chuck, appreciate the reply and the pics. Exactly what I needed. Many thanks.
