Question

Damn, I should really get my S sooner then I intend to. I just found out the nearby gas station sells premium gas for the price of regular 5-6 times a month!

Average about 22-24, in spirited driving much much less. On one trip along highway 1 from Monterey up to the lost coast I averaged 14. People tend to get 10-12 on a track. All in all I'd say it's decent mileage. For loafing around mixed driving a Corvette will get almost as good mileage, on the other hand if you use the gas pedal in a Vette the mileage goes down much faster than it does in an S.

The tank definitely could be bigger. Figure you're gonna be refueling every 200-250 miles. Pretty much everything else will do at least 300 if not 400+.

I get low 20's depending on how much I beat on it. It really just depends on that.

For the most part I get 22-26 mixed driving, slightly more highway. On a recent trip to Socal I got 30mpg with the top up, 34psi, AC on the lowest setting and cruise control.

I get between 20-25 mpg. And I never drive the S with fuel conservation in mind.

Around town I get 22, last week I went on my first highway trip and got 29, if I babied it I am sure I could get 30+ and over 300 miles on a tank. I've had about 10 new vehicles and the fuel economy seems to improve after around 5,000 miles, which I have not reached yet, so it may get even better.

On a recent road trip, I got between 28 and 30 MPG on I-20 east of Atlanta.

And for the first hour of that trip, my GPS claims my moving average speed was 95MPH.

I don't always shift at redline. If I'm 'babying it' and shift earlier, I tend to shift just as VTEC engages. But I pretty much have the pedal on the floor whenever I'm accelerating, so I'm not sure 'babying it' is an accurate phrase.

Jeez, that's pretty insane. A couple of my buddies' cars on the highway..WOT.. you can pretty much watch the fuel meter drop.
