Default ap2 hardtop on ap1 HELP

hey guys i need help with hardtop... i have a ap1 s2000 with ap1 hardtop and hardware ... about 2-3 weeks ago my hardtop got stolen off the car... so then i just bought a new hardtop an AP2 hardtop and it seems like it doesn't fit like the hardtop i had on before. Is that due to the hardware??? what do i need or need to do to make it fit correctly i tried adjusting it a couple times but still there are some fitment issues where there are gaps near the window area and etc... i will take pics of the gaps later... can you guys post close up pics of your hardtop thanks...

they should be the same. perhaps you just need to adjust the brakets? ive sold 2 mugen and 1 mugen style hardtop from my ap2 to ap1s all 3 times... none of them didnt fit whatsoever.

yeah, probably should loosen all brackets/nuts/bolts and install, then tighten them all, maybe that 1mm will make the difference...

They are one and the same. Like s2k aok said, just loosen all the hardware on the hardtop side. There really isn't much adjustment on the catcher side.

If I'm not mistaken only MY00 is different, you need to have the new strikers in order for the hardtop to fit.
I'm not sure if my post is relevant to your problem, but email hardtop guy, he could help you out.
