Default AP2 with Spoon Intake pipe?

I know that the Ap2 front bar has an extra bar inside and without taking this bar of, the Spoon intake pipe wont fit on the Ap2.
My question is, does the removal of this support bar inside the bumper or whatever, have any negative impacts? Or has anyone done this on an Ap2 front with spoon intake pipe?
Thanks

Does the spoon intake still rest on the little plastic pieces of the AP2 bumper?

If that made sense Hopfully it will of spoon intake owners
