Someone please lock this back from the dead thread! If you want to find out which is better, go drive both and figure it out. Everyone here is biased....

I have an AP2. Never drove an AP1. I have no preference. When I was looking, I wanted something in the low-20's. I saw an 02's with 30,000 miles for 21k or an 04 with 10,000 miles for 23k. I opted for the fewer miles. Otherwise, the 02 had the hot red interior which I would love to have in my car now...but oh well.

I don't understand the strong hostility in these threads. It's still the same car! It's like CBR929 owners and CBR954 owners arguing over which is better.

In the end, if you take them to the track, chances are that none of us are good enough drivers to get the maximum performance out of either car.

Are you saying AP1 owners need to compensate for something?

drive whatever makes you happy. these two cars are guaranteed to put a smile on your face anyway.
that's my thought as well...

ah...the never ending debate....... both cars have their pros and cons.. things i like about my ap1 more than i do with my current ap2... things i like more with my ap2 that i like more than my old ap1..

at the end of the day you can't go wrong with either..

ps... i owned an ap1 for 3 years, have own an ap2 for the last 2 years, and my wife has an ap1.
