Can't say anything without someone bringing up the 10lb ft of torque or how you don't NEED 9k. Gee wiz, should have bought an SRT4. 6k redline and peak torque at 2k FTW.

Since they perform the same, yes I would prefer the more raw feel with the "more special" power delivery.

Well, from that video we know which one has more power. I owned an 01, now an 06. Better shifting, nicer interior, nicer rims, and a better stereo. Otherwise, I really don't give a hoot, they are both equal in my book.

The AP-2 is what it is because Honda did its research. The asked AP-1 owners what they liked / disliked and made changes accordingly.

We're all just restless because the CR is coming in a week.

Honestly, this is a good point. When the AP2 came out, it was to improve on a lot of things in the AP1, but its not as "raw" a car as the AP1. But, pretty soon, for the first time ever (in NA at least), you will have two flavors of S2000 - AP2 and AP2 CR. Maybe the AP1 is somewhere in the middle.

I really do enjoy my AP1. I haven't driven an AP2 yet, however what I liked on the AP2 I am changing on my AP1. Like the wheels and the center console and if I want to change the tranny then a AP2 it is. Both cars are good and its just small piddly differences between them. Move on, go out and drive the damn thing

Why would that shut anyone up? A race like that is down to the driver... do you know who the driver of the 2.2 is?!
I assumed he meant it would shut everybody (not just AP1 owners or AP2 owners) up, because the two cars are SO damn close in that race that it proves there's little to no difference between the engines on the track. Those two cars both have the updated "AP2" suspension so you can't really directly compare the AP1 to AP2 in this video. But, F20C versus F22C ... if you use this video as evidence. No difference.
