Default ap2 w/ 4.77's and 275/40/17's top speed....

any of you brains know how to calculate the redline top speed in 6th with this setup?

I think 4.77's reduce AP2 down to about 130mph.... but then the 275/40/17 would be about 1 inch taller so that would bring it back up some amount.....

would i be looking at roughly 135mph top speed? (i need to be around 142ish)...

Maybe 4.56s would be smarter?

thanks for your input.

http://www.turnzero.com/technical_resource...gear_calculator

4.77 would be 134-135
4.56 would be 140-141

Can you raise the redline to about 8400? That way you'd be able to get up to 142 mph.

I guess AEM EMS would be able to crank up the redline too.... just not sure if I am going to use one just yet. From what someone posted, it is very hard to tune, so I may just use a VAFC with the 2.2L which uses the stock ECU which will shut off at 8000? (or is it 8200?)

Stock ECU shuts off at 8200, but you can swap ECUs with a MY00-MY03 which will let you rev up to 9,000. You can still use the VAFC to tune the a/f ratio for the most horsepower.

how safe is running an AP2 up to 9k though? i actually am getting the AP2 installed into an AP1 so it would be easier to keep the old ECU in place anyway.

You can run an ap1 ECU with an external rev limiter. Have cut off at 8500rpm if you want a little more revs out of her.

Quick Reply: ap2 w/ 4.77's and 275/40/17's top speed....
