How the heck do you get 29 - 30 mpg? Are you sure you are driving it correctly???
Seriously, wtf. Mine has 23k miles, 99% stock (only a K&N FIPK), all new fluids, spark plugs, air filter and I only get like 22mpg at best.
I've got 13k miles, and all maintenance done recently and regularly. I'm lucky to get 20mpg, although I think that there's something wrong with the accelerator pedal-it seems to beg to be shoved through the firewall on a constant basis. Perhaps it has a bit of a masochistic streak?

But overall,
Car still runs like a proper s2000... and it's almost got 200k miles
Nice!
About the oil though - do you ever see oil smoke when on the gas? We have a 2003 that burns about that much oil. Have you ever run a compression test? We're low on cylinder #1... Just wondering if it's a common issue.

Really glad to hear the good reports.

I have 38K on my 09. I use Mobil 1 0-30 and the level stays the same between changes. Never added a drop. I change the fluids sooner than recommended, but the only odd thing out I have done is Billman's approach on rear axle torque fix. I followed his DIY and added the extra 60 degrees of torque. Preemptive strike.
Oh yeah, new tires.
