I financed my lease buy out for 4.5% and that is like buying a used car.

I don't even have an APR. Car is long since paid for...

I think it was around 4.9% when I bought it back in 2002, but I sold some stock options and paid it off after a year or so.

rates are funny, depends on credit rating(bad=more), bank(dealer=generally more), financing period(longer=more), new/used(more), dealer/private party(more).

that said 8.65 a few years back. 60 months dealer capital one auto finance, credit rating was around 750

i got all the way down to 5.29%...
its decent. could have done better. but its cool. i have my car, thats all that matters.

i got my car last june of 08. credit was 750 with 2.9% apr with 60 months lease!!

I went to the bank and got preapproved before I went to the dealer. When the dealer offered a higher rate, I told them no thanks. They lowered it to beat what the bank was offering.

6.99 for 5 years by the way. Could have gotten a bit better if I had schwacked some of my credit card debt.
