Attention !! All Sebring Silver owners.............
My Sebring S2K has about 3000 miles and I also have a few rock ships on the front end. Nothing to do about it, and I do not want to use a clear bra like 3M etc.. because of all the horror stories I heard.
One thing that I found helpful is to apply several coat of wax on the front bumper.
Ultimately though, any car that is driven regularly will undoubtely have stone chips.

I have almost 34K on my silverstone and very few paint chips on the front. I plan to keep it forever so I'm sure one day I will get it repainted by a friend who does custom work. I'll tell him to use more paint on the front.
I had nearly 9,500 miles on my silverstone/red before I sold her. No real problems with primer showing. I did have a couple of "nicks" in the paint, but it didn't go down to the primer. I did keep the car very well waxed and never, never tailgate.
I suspect that given the very low nature of the front of these cars, tailgating and road conditions can really affect the front of your car.
Here in S. CA we're doubly blessed. First of all we have the nearly perfect weather. Second, we enjoy much newer and better roads than much of the US. In fact, in my last trip to NYC (XMas) my wife-to-be was busting on me telling me what a wussy I was and that I would never be able to own a nice car having to deal with the roads in the tri state area. I have a lot of respect for you guys back east who drive those roads and take such good care of your cars.
PS - I have seen a couple of the Sebring Silver cars. No offense intended to the owners here, but I don't like it as much as the Silverstone. The Sebring is almost white to me and doesn't have the character that the Silverstone did. By character, I mean the way the color dramatically changes under lighting conditions. It's still a nice color (the only color I wouldn't own is Suzuka Blue) but I liked the Silverstone better.
To each his/her own.

I have a Silverstone and I think there are quite a few paint chips on my front bumper too. My plan is to wait for a year or two (until I can't take it any longer), re-paint my bumper and get stonguard or something...
I seem to recall quite a few S2K owners having a lot of problems with stongard early last year. i think there was a problem with headlights, etc.
I have no affiliation with stongard and offer no position as to the products worthwhile or quality. i'm only trying to make sure that everyone keeps informed.
ps - as i understand it, stongard is a custom fit set of laminates that go over the paint on the front of the car. it's designed much like a full nose bra other than the fact that it's very thin and almost clear. at the irvine meet last summer, i saw a spa yellow from AZ that had it. unless you were within 5 feet or so, you couldn't tell if the product was on the car or not. up close you could see a small line across the nose where the product began.
again, i know nothing about this product but i'm a little leary given the affects of the elements (air/sun/uv rays) on the paint under the stongard and near the stongard.
