To Auction or not to Auction, that is the question
Hey folks. Thinking about buying an S2000 from an auction http://easyexport.us/carfinder/vehicle/REB...d=4c054bdec9d5b but I've never bought from an auction before. Can you folks share any experiences that you've had at one, be it good or bad? Thanks.
How much does the registration fee cost on that site? That car actually isnt even sold through that site, they're a broker that allows you to use their licensing to get into the auction.
a pervious repair car like this is a bit iffy. Its pretty much luck of the draw on whether it was repaired properly. It would be best if you could go visually inspect the car to see if there is anything that stands out
heres the full so you can run carfax JHMAP21427S004061
Theres a minimum bid on this which is pretty much a reserve, expect them to want 10+k for it

Unless you have hook ups on parts and you're going to do the labor yourself I would recommend against buying an auction car. Unless you get it for dirt cheap and you have what i said in the beginning. Auction cars are USUALLY there for a reason. I have heard of people getting some nice cars that dont have many or no problems at all.
Auction cars are a great deal if you have access to a lift and don't mind spending a few weekends fixing them up. I made some money flipping some old foxbodies. In general though, they're usually in rough shape and need some serious work.
