Sweet article! My friend is thinking about getting a TT Roadster. I like the car alot, but there's one catch that made me choose the S..."that magical land of VTEC!"

This article says the S2000 is a ULEV? A thread I read recently said that the S2000 was not a ULEV, but a LEV. Who is right?

To be fair, I loved the TT Roadster. The factors that made up my mind in the end were that the TT's suspension was too soft when you pushed it hard and the difference in price.

Bernie,
I considered the TT a year ago- ironically I had the same problem arranging atest drive for the audi as the s2000 at that time- dealers were selling them before or as soon as they came in, so no one had one for me to drive until after I had driven, and fallen for, the S2000.

By US standards, according to HMC, the S2000 is an LEV

I two was considering purchasing the Audi TT over the s2000k, but after test driving the s2k i couldn't imagine why i would want the Audi TT. Besides their sales staff being cold and impersonable, they misunderstood my young age for ignorance. well i stopped by the dealer the day after i got my stook and offered the audi guy a ride...=) he declined...i moved on with my life...it wasn't worth the extra 10k i would have had to pay for the 225hp awd audi tt roadster. or should i say slowster =)

You may be in the minority but you're not alone!

I think this is the best review I've read. It captures many of the thoughts I've had about what makes the S2000 special.

Hey, I got the, "Young looking guy, must be here to f*ck around and not buy anything" from the Audi guys too. Sales guy said I couldn't test drive the car unless I was going to buy it right then and there... A**hole. Left after that, but sent Audi dealership an email later complaining of this and the fleet manager called back to apologize which as decent of them, but I decided on the S. The Honda guy was decent enough but gave me some BS that people were paying 70k for the car. Bunch of crap. Ended up buying from a third party, but the car only had 60miles on it, so it was brand new. Next time, I think I'll go car shopping with my Rolex on, in my Armani's to get some respect. Sheesh.

Audi TT = VW Golf/Beetle with designer threads (not attractive ones either).

Get real guys - there is NO comparison.
