Default Audio solution, maybe....

I have read tons of opinions on complicated and expensive ways to upgrade our sound systems to cope with open top driving conditions. Has anyone considered running an aux jack to the secret compartment, a splitter, and two sets of over the ear headphones for driver and passenger? This would all but eliminate wind noise, bring the music directly to your ears and all for a minimal capital investment. I know it could be dangerous to block out traffic noise, ie sirens, horns; but at the volume level some of us play our stereos, I don't think we hear much of that anyway. Any opinions?

It's highly illegal and dangerous to drive with headphones on. I do not recommend this at all nor will anyone on the website.

As stated above, it is illegal and dangerous to ride with head phones. I went with S-Pods and they did the trick!!

If you going to do this, it would be easier just to put a splitter on an ipod. But if you have a passenger, this would make conversation a bitch anyway, so why not 2 ipods and you both listen to what you want.

Also, they make In-ear earphones. If I was going to do this, I'd pick these, since they will block out wind noise.

Or my personal favorites:

But this is illegal in some states, so don't ever do it. Speeding is a big no-no too don't ever drive over the speed limit. No one on this site would tell you to speed, remember speed kills.

So you want to use in-ear headphones blocking you out from ANY outside noises at all?

.... Seriously?

I know it's illegal and dangerous, so is speeding , as others have noted. I did not do this and have no plans to; I was just getting others opinions as stated in my op. Thank all of you for your opinions. I replaced my headunit, speakers, and added a USB thumb drive with 1000 of my favorite songs, all at my fingertips, schweeeeeet.

Not completely, though I will mention that some people actually wear ear plugs when the top is down, this is just ear plugs with music, or an audio book. I personally use the honda music link adapter.
