Rookie Ryan Hunter-Reay has won the Indy 300 on the Gold Coast today with Paul Tracy at top of the points list.

And what a shocking race it was. It started with the Corvette parade lap (well I guess they couldn't ride around on Lexmark printers) and went downhill from there. Was more like a demolition derby on the snowfields.

 

Yes although, despite the brief hailstorm, not as bad as last year I feel.

I noticed a commentator saying that the sponsors should take notice and start the race earlier. It's only taken them how many years to realise that the storms come over in the late afternoon at this time of year while the mornings are practically always fine?
