Default Automatic S2000

I was lurking around the RX-8 Forums and they were talking about auto RX8's.. Being they actually HAVE that option, they were talking about pros and cons. Surprisingly there were a lot of people that were in FAVOR of it and preferred auto. I understand there are people that just want to cruise along, but given the type of car I was shocked as to how many people stood up for the auto.

Soooo....If honda offered an auto for the S who would actually get one?

I think the RX8's rev limiter is different on the AT's due to the power at high revs being too much for it.....im guessing the same might exist for a hypothetical auto S2k..
(dont even want to think about it )

Our manual gearboxes own all!

Honestly though, I would love to see this car with paddles and sequential clutch.

I guess they like being slow with their automatic Rx8. Wow they must be so lazy they enjoy being slower.

The only way I would want one would be if I bastardized the car into a full on drag car. Then the Auto would be worth while. Other than that, I like to shift my own gears.

If the S had a terrible linkage like that of a Saab (the absolute worst, imo) it might be worth considering but the feel of the oem shifter is so good it would be giving up one of the best aspects of the whole car.
