If the option for auto kept everything else the same, then MAYBE.

besides i hate automatics... if we had automatic S2000's everyone and their dad would buy one...

the s2k group would be different, larger, and include a lot more folks that bought it because of the styling. like some miata owners, this group would include many who don't care about speed, don't care much about handling (at least not at the limits), and don't put the top down.

i like the community the way it is. undiluted.

 

The 6sp stick makes this car an unreasonable choice for many buyers.
It just so happens, thats the way I like it.

 

Maybe they could do like the American auto makers, and include the automatic in an "option group".

I'd suggest maybe a DVD entertainment system for the passenger, separate heater / AC controls for driver and passenger, heated mirrors, power up / down / front / back / tilt seats, GPS, 18 speaker 900 watt stereo and combo late heater / beer cooler.

Or they could just keep it the ultimate drivers car it is now.

Don't fix what aint broke.
