Default Automatic or stick, that is the question!

Hey guys or girls. I have a dilemma and maybe some of you can help me with this. I want to get the S2000 bad, but I drive to work up a mountain with twisty roads and rough turns. Then when I have to go home, I have to go down that same mountain! It already sucks with an automatic. Wouldn't it be too much of a hassle with a stick! Would you get the S2000?

Rich,
Your kidding, right? (or are you physically challenged)? I've never owned an automatic but have been forced to rent them many times on ski trips. I don't think they do well in mountainous terrain because they can't seem to make up their minds as to which gear to be in while going uphill on long grades and the constant gear changing drives me crazy. You say the turns are rough (as in rough pavement)? I can understand hesitation to brutalize the suspension but if the turns are just tight switchbacks then you've totally lost me. A stick is so much better for the mountains. You can always be in the right gear going up and use decompression to save the brakes on the way down.

Sounds like you should stay with an automatic. If you had a manual, the driving experience would be a whole lot more involving. Get a Sebring convertible. They're kinda nice...easy to drive, too.
