Average miles to the gallon on S2k
Stickier tires don't get worse mileage in my experience.
I got 28-29mpg for my commute on winter tires and I got 28-29mpg for my commute on StarSpecs, and now I'm getting 28-29mpg on Sport Maxx TTs.
Rolling resistance for tires is all about how much a tire deforms and absorbs energy. Sport-oriented tires should actually do quite well in this regard, as they have large tread blocks and less void area, so less tread squirming around.
When I was working on an electric motorcycle project, we got rolling resistance data from Pirelli, and the lowest rolling resistance tires were at the high-performance end of the spectrum. But the differences for most of the tires was very small.
Alignment, particularly toe, will have an impact. I run minimal toe at both ends, zero up front, ~.2 total rear. When I had more like .5* total in back, I was getting ~2mpg worse mileage.

Say a 1-2mpg drop from z101 to z1 and another 3-4mpg drop with allignment.
Total drop from 31-32 to 25-26. Freeway, same area, always using cruise.
In just highway driving, I've seen as much as 32 mpg. Most driving though....in a mix of highway and city.....I'm in the 24 - 25 range.
Not bad at all in my book. Honestly, far better than I'd have expected for a performance car.
Depends a lot though on how had you are on the gas. I track my mpg, but really don't care that much. It's all about how much fun it is, and fun is in the loud pedal.

I have kept stats on my S since I got her. Most of my miles have been on open road with the top down (90+%)
Total miles = 22,317
Ave mpg for all miles = 28.604
Ave mpg for highest 5 tanks = 33.70
Ave mpg for lowest 5 tanks = 23.69
Single highest tank = 35.10 (see link below)
Single lowest tank = 20.56

I've owned the car for two years and haven't bothered to check the MPG :-)
My only concern with this car is FPG: fun per gallon.
My 4cyl 02 s10 pickup gets about 29mpg, and its the slowest pos i've ever driven but I'm never in a rush while going surfing or commuting to work...
