Baby got Black!
Black Chrome that is. I had the black chrome kit installed today on my black/black. It looks beautiful. Here's a quick rundown of things I noticed:
1. The color blends nicely with the black paint and silver wheels. Makes a nice transition.
2. The "H" is now solid, no more Q-tips to get the wax out from between the sides of the H.
3. Black bachground matches nicely with the black paint.
4. The "black chrome" color is almost a perfect match to the interior trim pieces on the console. Again, another nice color match.
5. Will definately look great with the smoke colored lenses from Rick's group buy.
6. If you have the dealer do it, plan on paying for 2 hours labor for the whole job. (book says 30mins per badge and I was there for exactly 2 hours)
I had them install Rick's shift boot as well. Beautiful piece Rick. Thanks for a great product. The guy who worked on the car didn't even charge me time to put the boot in. All-in-all, I love my car even more now

I love mine too
Helps soften up the almost "cheesy" plasti-chrome stock logos... a little more subtle and classy...
IMO, a set of wheels finished in Carbon Black (new M5) would complete the look
My next mod is Mingster's tinted aero screen... maybe get the side windows tinted after that...pretty soon the only shiny thing on the car will be the rotors, shift knob, and exhaust tips

Have you colored, or will you color your calipers. . .here's a suggestion: how about doing them black, but use an "S2000" stencil and try to get the center that on center of each front caliper. . .maybe in silver.
Luder,
I'm counting on the screen to have that exact effect
as for the calipers, I have considered black as the ONLY choice...
I see that great minds think alike. I am not sure about doing a dull finish or a gloss finish however.
I think gloss would go better with the gloss black color of the car...

I'm guessing that that a tinted aero screen would give the plastic window a tinted look also when the top is up. . .hmmmm.

S2K_CLS,
I've done the dull finish on my Prelude calipers, one word...DON'T. They have a dirty, dingy look to them from the get go. After a few hard runs, you could see the heat stroke in areas of the paint on the calipers. . .made the total look like a splotchy paint job. After inquiring with body shops, they all concurred that matte finish paint is just chemically different and reacts the way it did to high heat. I had to take off the paint (very tedious), and re-applied a gloss black. Then I painted the "Baer" insignia on the caliper in red. Overall effect of black caliper with red lettering on a custom yellow looks GREAT!!!
On the S2K, I'm going for the overall stealth Black look, everything but the rims, that is. The calipers will definitely be done in Black gloss, with the S2000 lettering done in reflective silver (or chrome). If I choose to do silver, I may just buy the paint from Honda and do it in Silverstone. The rims will be either 17" or 18" thin spoke (don't know which ones yet), powdercoated in gunmetal silver.
The interior will be redone in jet black (carpeting, leather inserts, door handles, seats, shift boot, steering wheel inserts, and e-brake handle) with slight accents of another undecided color (maybe royal blue, or Crayola gray). Other accents in the cockpit will include slight use of medium polished chrome (as opposed to high polish chrome). These may include, some plastic trim pieces, interior door handles, and door switches.

S2K_CLS,
Check out this black silver combo on the e-brake. I think it looks kinda slick, but may be too over the top for the effect I'm going for; that is subtle yet aggresive, but not too outstanding yet very noticeable.
