Default Back after a 3yr hiatus!

Title says it all...been shopping around for a leftover 04 and thought I had an invoice deal....car sold, but ended up finding an 05 that was delivered to a dealership a few days ago....paid a few hundred more, but got an 05. I had an early production 2001 that had some problems...Honda bought it back and treated me well. Next ride was an 02 M3, kept it a year and sold it...now back where I started and wanting a nice top-down ride.....So I pulled the trigger yesterday and got a Silverstone/blk 05.

I already have 100 miles on it from the drive home....couldn't sleep much last night....got up early and decided on my first mod....DCI....by 7am this morning the order was placed and guess what comes next. I have to say the stereo isn't as crappy as the 01, but it still sucks....can't wait for 600 miles and some new stereo gear....you gotta love this car

I had an 01 M3 for a year and a half, sold it to get a MY04 S.

IMO the S is way more fun to drive. A lot of people think the M3 is an upgrade from the S, but not the same ride at all.

Welcome back.

Is there such thing as an upgrade from the S not in the supercar territory???

I sure don't think so, but I noticed when the question "S2000 or M3" comes up, a lot of S2000 owners say to go with the M3.

Totally different cars IMO...I also looked at a NSX both new and used....could not justify the $$$. The M3 is a nice car, but it is heavy....When it comes to the S, I do not believe there is a better deal if you are looking for fun factor with performance.

Ever look at the payments on a M3? More than my first house.
