Back Off Brake Light
I don't recall this being discussed before but it's an excellent safety feature that's inexpensive and easily installed. I highly recommend it.
This is a module that installs inside the trunk lid and connects to the third (trunk) brake light. When the brakes are applied the light flashes 3 times, then a long 3.5 sec. light, then repeats the pattern as long as the brakes are applied. The link below tells more. It's $45 and takes about 30 min. to install. Instructions are for a Miata but works the same on an S2000, I've had mine a year and gives me more peace of mind about possibly being rearended.

Sounds annoying as ALL hell. Something I would be glad were in my car, and pissed if it were in the car in front of me.
Interesting saftey item. I have been rear-ended (not in the S) and it is not a lot of fun. Although this would not have helped me (as I was the THIRD person in line. The at-fault driver hit the person that was stopped behind the person stopped behind me!) It seems like cheap insurance.
Thanks for the info.
