First off, welcome back! Second, what was it about the STi that was not pleasing you? Third, why the S2000 all over again and not a used Corvette or something of that nature?
dude, can you shrink the sig a little bit? everyone knows what a s2k looks like.

Sti clutch, gearbox, while functional and very strong are clunky. Steering doesn't give me the warm fuzzies either. You loose that "connected to the road" feel you have with an s2000. The 2004's interior was pretty plastikie and cheap feeling as well. The seats were nice though.

Don't get me wrong, the Sti is a great car... for some people. Its fast as hell, corners great, and has 4 doors to boot. But, in my case I'm more of an S2000 guy over a 4 door rally car guy. Kinda like you have die hard mustang, camero, guys who won't give up their cars even when the engine falls out on their front lawn.

The Sti is for some people, S2000 is for ME. While I wouldn't mind taking a crack at C6 z06 vette, I've found that the S2000 is everything I want my car to be. I don't need 300 pounds of tq. I'm not a street racer, never have been. I'm not a 1/4 mile guy either. I might have to get me into so SCCA events though .

The s2000 just drives the way I want my car to drive. Simple as that. Why go buy another car I'm not going to like in a year and do it all over again ?
Thanks for the post stitos2k, everytime I think about buying a different car I read posts such as yours and figure I'd be in the same boat if I ever got something else. I'm sure I'd miss my car too much and would end up wishing I never let it go for something else.

Welcome back!! I too have been looking at other cars but might regret it if I got rid of the S. The S is so fun to drive, even when you're not v-tecing and handles great. It's even better to drive with the top down on those hot summer nights when just about everyone wish they had a convertible. That's why I bought a convertible.

That has to be one of the dumbest comments I have ever heard! To begin with, its an S2000 website, I sure hope you know what one looks like. Second, I know you think "long sigs are gay", but I dont know how much smaller you would like it!

Oh no its ok, I was just wondering why one would post something like that. Im not sure how much more I could shrink the picture or the font! Anyways, I hate to get off topic with this but its interesting, many WRX and STi owners talk about this "clunky" type gearbox and disconnected feel from the road. I haven't driven the STi but have driven the Evo which is similar by comparison. I too agree of the simplicity of the driving experience one encounters driving the S2000, very strong positive feel from the road. Welcome back once again!

Thanks guys, I had so much fun driving in today too. The sun was out after our rainy last couple of days so I ripped through some turns on my way to work

Welcome back

You're not the first s2k owner I've heard of that came straight back after 'testing' other vehicles.
