Backhanded Compliment

maybe i'm missing something, but how was that a backhanded compliment? it sounded like a good compliment to me. unless he was being sarcastic about the paint job comment? now if he said something like, "oh, it's quite a bit faster...for a car that sucks" ...then i could see it being backhanded.

I think we should highlight a particular car's strength and weakness. Porsches have been around a bit longer than many others. It doesn't mean they are necessarily better but they do have a great racing heritage. Porsches on the whole make other manufacturers that much better, trying to stay competitive. I would like to own one someday. Boxster S would be a dream car for me.
