Default Bad luck with my S :(

I'm just a little frustrated with how much bad luck I've had while owning MY03 S2000. Don't get me wrong, I love my car but it seems like universe is against me right now. Here's a little history with out getting into to much detail:

- I bought MY03 in October of 04'. Its was a used Honda Certified car with 10K miles on it. Best of all it was black on black. I took it on a test drive, fell in love with the car and drove it home that day I had just turned 25 so I called it my quarter life crises moment! he he
- September 2005, I hit a big puddle of water going 45mph, hydroplaned and ran into an embankment. That took $14k to repair that one. Insurance covered that one thank goodness.
- November 2005 some Dude in an Altima rear ended me. The damage was minimal but my rear bumper had to be replaced and repainted. He tried to say I rolled back into him. Long story short his Insurance ended up coving the whole thing.
- May 2006 I had my front bumper lip installed and painted by a local shop. They ended up tearing my rag top with a pressure washer after polishing my car. Idiots!
My insurance covered that one as well because come to find out the shop went out of business shortly there after.
- March 2007, this one was my technically my fault. I was the last car involved in a 5 car accident. I ended up rear ending the car in front of me going about 15mph after every one slammed on their brakes in traffic. It cost me $500.00 for my deductable but it cost the insurance $12K to repair.
- July 2007 - I let my Bro use my car (never doing that again) and on his way home some idiot in a Vette was driving like a mad man into on coming traffic and did not realize every one was at a stop. The Vette ended up losing control trying to stop and slid right into my Brother. it was not my Bro's fault but luckily he was ok. That one cost $14K to repair which the Vettes Insurance covered.
- Yesterday, I go to wash my car because we have had a break in the weather and what do I see!!! My back bumper and quarter panel had been hit! The quarter panel has a crease in it and my bumper is all scratched It was obvious that it was hit when some was trying to park or back out who was parked next to me. Ahhh! No note, nothing. I did not notice it before because my car was all dirty. I'm going to see the Body shop today to get an estimate. My detuctable is $500.00 so either way I see it I am going to at least pay that amount.

In all cases the frame was not touched so that was the main factor why the insurance did not total out the car.

My Wife keeps on telling me this car is bad luck and to get rid of it. Now I am starting to believe her but I love my car so much. Thank you for listing, I know this post is long.

Does anyone else feel this way???

Bar karma is attached to some cars. Just move onto another, newer S!

So, based on your numbers and rough estimates for the bumper that was already replaced... you've had $43,000 in damages since you've owned the car..? +1000 or so for this latest incident..

Yea, Ida been fed up with that mess a LONG time ago and BEGGED the insurance company to total it, cut me a check, and find another. Yours has to be cursed.

sweet jesus, your insurance must be sky high; you're averaging more than 1 wreck per year. your car definitely has bad karma.

Luckily the engine has been un touched. The engine runs strong and like new. All the body parts have been replaced with OEM Honda parts. I know if some one were to carfax it multiple items would pop up. I do feel that the handling has been compromised. I pay a little over $2K a year in insurance so it's not too bad. I do agree I this car has caused me so many headaches and I am wondering if I need to move on... I might be stuck with it unless a dealership would take a trade in.

That sucks and I feel for you, but at least two of those incidents had nothing to do with luck.
