Default battery died

hi all,

a few weeks ago i cleaned the S2000 and must have accidently pushed down the indicator and left it in the on position (keys not in ignition) a few days later when starting the car the battery was dead. It was a pretty new battery. I checked the manual to see if it was a park light, but that is not listed in the manual. Has any one ever had this happen or know what it might be??

cheers

I don't understand what you're trying to say.

Has anyone ever left a light on and killed their battery. Yes, of course.

Has anyone ever had their battery die in their S2000 "unexpectedly?" Yes, trunklights... interior lights, etc.

The turn signals don't turn on without the keys. The headlights do, but they give a tone that you'd notice.

Why don't you jump or push start the car and see if it happens again.

How old was the battery and have you ever killed it like this before?

battery was 6months old, this had never happened before. keys were not in but the indicator turned on, which appeared to kill the battery in a few days, no interoir light was on, and the lights were off ...just seemed a mystery why it drained the battery when the indicator was turned on, when the keys were not in.....

Whats the "indicator"?

If they are the turn signals, if the key is off, the signal never reaches any power source, thus wont drain the battery.

I drive my S infrequently and have found the battery will run down on it's own if the car sits for several weeks. I invested in a Battery Tender battery charger to prevent a dead battery.

BatteryMinder is the best, will double your battery life(time before replacement), easily.
