Default Battery dead....

Well as I had to go out of country for another 10 weeks my car has been left in a secure compound at my place of residence. Didn't have chance to get it on a trickle or gem disconnect the battery.
Just wondered, it's a fairly new battery, what are the chance of it having any life in it? Also is jumping it a pain in the proverbial because of the push start? Am I best just buying a new battery?
Advice would be grateful.

Don't push start it - this is apparently quite bad for the Catalytic Convertor (if you still have one).

Try jumpleads/a battery booster and give it a good drive around. If that doesn't sort it, then a new battery from your local dealer will do the job.

It'll be fine. My 5 year old battery coped fine after a jump start after I cleverly left my lights on a couple of weeks back.

Why would jumping it be a pain because of the push start?

I think he's referring to the stupid red button, not the act of bump starting the car.

Dunno, just assumed I suppose. Didn't want to do any unintentional damage. Cat is still there.
