Dealer is 80km's away from my home, so I have to take 1/2 day off work to go there. The strange thing is... This morning I started the car after 3 days and I was almost shure it would not start... But it started difficultly like always lately... So the condition does not worsen if it stays put for more days. And after the first start, even for a very short trip of 2km's, it will start the rest of the day with no problem at all I don't really get it. I will have the dealer look at it, have to go there to get the new rims for free under warranty and some other minor things... Thx for the reply's

mine lasted 5 years too... seems to be the norm for our batts-
dealer should fix this- might be a "contributory warranty" item (where you still gotta pay something, but not full price)

Well, the car is sitting dead in the garage right now. Dealer told me to call Honda assistance. They are on their way and will be here within the hour They wil put in a new battery (which I will have to return to them after the dealer installed a new one) or they will tow the car to the nearest dealer. But S2000's cannot be towed I think, it has to be lifted completely onto a truck instead of towing with two wheels on the ground...

sounds like alot of work to me. just get a new battery and put it in! you'll know quickly if the electrical system is causing it. which i doubt. some bateries are just no good. mine went early, but i live in florida, and heat will kill a battery more than anything.

Honda assistance came to start the car with an external starter, car immediately run fine. Went to the nearest dealer, finally managed to get a new battery under warranty. Everything is perfect now! Battery that came out was a Panasonic, new battery that went in is a different HONDA branded one I noticed that the car is learning the idle again Let's see how the next weeks are! Thx for all your input
