Geezus! That is flying! Here is a brief list ofa few I timed: #11 silver vette,2:06 fast Miata at 2:13.7 One Porsche at2:16 though there was one about 6 secs faster, two formula Atlantics at 1:45 and1:56
I knew the Sk2 would be good on that track but not that good! Do you know any box stock S2k times at Thunder? Magi FOXYS2K

Magi,
You can see the results from both Saturday and Sunday at Sears Point by going here...
http://www.speedventures.net/event_results.asp
Near the end of the day Saturday my car developed CV joint problems and I was unable to run it Sunday. I'm sure had I been able to run it Sunday I would have broken the 2:00 barrier As it was I managed a 2:01 driving C3's (Erik) mostly stock S2K on Sunday. The supercharger and other mods I have can make up for a fair bit of a lack of talent, allowing me to keep up with drivers that are much better than me and hopefully allowing me to learn from them in the process. At least the the rationalization i'm currently using For instance, take a look at BobCats (BB) time... He managed a 1:56.2 in a mostly stock S2K with race tires. There is now way I could touch that even with all my mods.
Hmmmm... I just did a double take on the subject line and I see you are refering to ThunderHill... The above is in reference to SearsPoint raceway. I'll be at ThunderHill this Thursday and i'll post times here if I can get them.

Hey Davepk... thanks for the reply!
I thought those times I was told were a bit too good for the full Thunderhill track! From what I timed I would guess 2:05 to 2:10 would be really good there.
My reference point for times at Sears Point is gone since they added the chute and changed the track configuration. I used to race my bike there in AFM on the old track. I miss the carousel and turn 7, but I still love Sears Point. I would appreciate you posting your Thunderhill times too. I have to time some events at Sears to get a new reference point. Sorry about your c.v. joints. It is such a drag to be put out by a mechanical at a track. Magi

at thunderhill, I ran 2:17 on my one and only timed lap at that track. That's on the full track on a very cold day in December.

Thanks for the info unabagler. That sounds more realistic for Thunderhill. That litttle bird said 1:58. I guess it is smart to have the right track for time comparisons! I did time a fomula A at 1:58 and another at 1:45. Those suckers are awesome! I am considering taking the SCCA street school and went up to see how much chance I had of tearing up the S2K and what times they can turn. The track has great run off areas so I feel a little more at ease...the car is much more capable than I am at this time! See Ya Magi

All right Davepk! So I guess you got your cv's fixed. I went to first autocross event today just to watch. Looks like a good start to learning car control better. I think that is our first step followed by street school at Thunderhill. One timed lap? I hope you didn't have more mechanicals... Thanks for remembering to post your Thunderhill times. Magi
