Those are okay for just having a chair to sit in, like when camping or something, but they aren't very comfortable for going to the beach with to lean back, have a beer, read a book, and look at chicks in bikinis. Also, you feel stupid sitting in a normal-height chair while everyone else has their butt 2" from the ground.


I'm thinking maybe something like this:

 

You would CRINGE of you saw all the various things my S goes through on a daily basis over its 10 year 106k mile life lol.

the secong pic of the lawn chair, i put one in my car when i was heading to the beach. The only problem was, i had to remove my spare tire and the covering for the spare. The chair barely fit in the trunk with the boot hinge.

I don't know that there is an issue. I'm going to go find an REI and check it out. I don't love that it doesn't have arms, but the sides might make up for it (want arms so I can rest my elbows on them while reading/surfing on the phone.) I also want to make sure it has enough of a reclined angle; the traditional umbrella chairs like the one in my original post have you sit nearly bolt upright and it isn't particularly comfy, at least for relaxing on the beach.
