This is an artist's impression (not a very good artist) of me stuck in the sand.

Note:
The tide in this pic is only half in and those other cars weren't there, otherwise rather accute

Its not as far as that pricture suggests, actually the majority of the beach is behind the camera.

I'll be back in Dublin next year to visit the family, but I doubt I'll make it to Nor'n Ireland.

My dad rescued a car from the beach when I was a kid. I forget which beach it was - somewhere in Co. Sligo. We had a Ford Anglia that, for some reason, had kind of all-terrain tires on it , but it came in handy for towing someone out of the soft sand.

If you ever get down to Dublin, there's a beach called Dollymount on the Northside where you can drive to your heart's content. A lot of Dubliners learn to drive there.

I'm pretty sure they didn't make the Integra Type R in red, just championship white, phoneix yellow, nighthawk black at least here in the US

Giving it a lot of gas in the sand is the worst thing you can do. Lower your pressure as far as you dare.. even as low as 15-20 PSI, and INCH your way out... 1st gear, and just enough gas to start the tires rolling. When you throttle it you dig yourself in.

I used to offroad a lot, and I learned this the hard way.
