Default Before I go get tuned...

When my exhaust comes this month ( After waiting 3) I was going to have my car tuned by Evans Tuning. Currently have an FIPK, FlashPro and test pipe. I didn't know if getting a wideband would benefit my tune at all??

Technically the OEM is a wideband, but it's not a full wideband. It reads good enough though for your N/A ranges, and while it's not 100% accurate it's consistant enough that anyone who knows how to tune these cars knows how to adjust for reported afr. I didn't need one to get my flashpro tuned. But the best and only person you should be asking this question with is Evans Tuning if that's the route you're going. What we say has nothing to do with how the person you choose to tune your car, tunes.

Jeff has a wideband he will put in for tuning if your car does not have already. its not important to have as a guage in the car, only needed when tuning.

Cool thanks guys.. I just wanted to make sure I had everything in order.

@Rosario - We have the same setup other than the intakes... do you have a J's dual or single? 60mm or 70mm? Cause Im getting a js dual 70mm and would like to see who produces more power

I don't know actually. We're talking about 06+'s. Billman would be a great resource to clarify if there were operating differences in o2 sensors throughout the years.

I got an Evans e-tune over a year ago and it's still running perfectly (better than when the car was stock on the stock tune as well). No special equipment was used.

I have a j's dual 60mm which I got for sound and looks since its the only exhaust ive ever seen where the dolphin tips are angled towards the sides of the car which looks bananas to me and also for being a little quieter for daily use but is still loud, also on ap2 fatter exhaust will rub on the frame of the car alot so the 60mm is less headache to install. Im sure the 70mm will be a little bit more powerful. I chose the 60 due to easier installation on an ap2 since the exhaust tunnel on a my06 is thinner than the older ones so the actually piping will rub up against the frame of the car which is annoying cause even my 60rs did a few times and had to make a few adjustments to keep it from rubbing especially on cold days.. I also didnt want the loud as fawk 70mm either for daily driving but we'll see what happens I guess

Here you can see why I got the 60 and its angled tips!!!! I love them
Ya, I was told I would have to make a small dent in the pipe tunnel in order to make it fit nice. I can't wait for this exhaust to comeeee
